I served in the United States Marine Corps for four years from October 2005 to November 2009 as a Communications Operator on Camp Pendleton and Air Station Miramar. During my time in the Marine Corps, I served two tours of duty in Iraq, one in 2007 and another in 2009. After my time in the Marines, I went on to pursue my degree in Computer Information Technology from Surry Community College from 2010 to 2012. I took a break from my education to complete a one year defense contract with Triple Canopy in Kuwait from May 2012 to May 2013 and in December 2013 I completed my Associates Degree in Computer Information Technologies. Starting May 19, 2014 I became the Systems Administrator for the Surry County 911 Communications Center. In November, I left the Surry County 911 Communications Center to begin my new career as the Data Management Specialist for the Electrical Certification Department at B/E Aerospace. In 2016, I was promoted to my new position of Program Controls administrator.I am able to work in various and extreme environments and situations and can easily adapt to changing circumstances. I learn new concepts very quickly and I work well either on my own or with a team. Along with adaptability, I also believe in personal accountability. If I am unfamiliar with a program or course of action, I will seek to improve upon it and ask questions. I am punctual, responsible, and dedicated to the highest quality standards being maintained on any job.
