The good thing about a career in architecture is the work is varied and always evolving. Whilst I have had over 30 years’ experience as a registered architect exploring many different roles and projects, I have only scratched the surface. I am eager to explore new roles and new projects, take a deep dive in new technology and new concepts. So, whilst I would like to build on my experience and expertise, I am also looking for something new and challenging to add to my portfolio. So here is a snapshot of some of those roles and projects that I have been involved in.Roles and Responsibilities from• Client Liaison to Contract Administration• Detail Documentation to Project Team Management• Staff Resource Management to Quality AssuranceProjects• Resorts, Casinos, & Shopping Centres • Terminal Expansions, Hangars, Training Facilities and Airline Club Lounges, • Upgrades to Security and PAX processing, Check-In Desks & Bag Drops • Fitouts for Offices, Call-In Centres, Cabin Crew Lounges and Engineering Facilities• Community Halls and Health FacilitiesRecently, have spent the last 18 months on a rail project for the Western Sydney Airport rail link - Parklife Metro. My role was to provide technical support for the various teams working on the six stations and maintenance facility. It proved to be a surprising contrast to the work I have done in the aviation industry, that I have been involved in for over 20 years. Amongst other things, it was interesting to see the different structural considerations, and the different style of delivery, that this rail project had over any of the aviation work I have been involved in.Looking forward to the next challenge.
