The good thing about a career in architecture is the work is varied and always evolving. Whilst I have had over 30 years’ experience as a registered architect exploring many different roles and projects, I have only scratched the surface. I am eager to explore new roles and new projects, take a deep dive in new technology and new concepts. My role was to provide technical support for the various teams working on the six stations and maintenance facility. It proved to be a surprising contrast to the work I have done in the aviation industry, that I have been involved in for over 20 years. Amongst other things, it was interesting to see the different structural considerations, and the different style of delivery, that this rail project had over any of the aviation work I have been involved in.Looking forward to the next challenge.
