With The Honeynet Project organization and under the mentorship of Dr. Rian Quinn and Dr. Tamas K. Lengyel, I have added Virtual Machine Introspection (VMI) capabilities to the open source project Bareflank Boxy / MicroV hypervisor and the support for this hypervisor in LibVMI with the necessary VMI events for stealthy debugging.This project was technically extremely difficult but very rewarding. The most challenging part of it was adding VMI events to the hypervisor and its support in LibVMI. I had an idea that I implemented allowing us to simplify the code and have less overhead than originally thought while maintaining the original compatibility requirements.I had overwhelming positive feedback. The work on this project will be very beneficial for others and will allow new types of security applications.

I made a GUI for viewing documents and highlighting text in the context of Natural Language Processing (NLP) as an Angular Web App with a Java Spring Backend.I had an interesting requirement of having to be able to make a span selection that can start and end anywhere in the document with html tags closing/opening within the selection and that can overlap other selections. HTML being a tree like structure I was able to solve this problem by looping through all the leaves within that range and wrapping each leaf with a selected tag of the same id. This allowed to report the selection to the NLP engine as a global text offset but also as local offset to the nearest HTML tag with the tag depth if needed.
