• Processing request forms that have been protocolled by a radiologist consultant.• Contact the department the patient is being cared for.• Inform the patient’s carer the relevant preparation that needs to the provided before CT scan can be performed.• Liaise with the radiologist consultant and the relevant doctor to that patient if any complications may occur.• Once the patient is within the CT department we then have to process there information and activate there details on Cerner Packs so that GE Packs or Toshiba packs can collate the relevant information so procedure can be performed.• Select what antilogarithms/protocols for the radiation dosages. • Ensure the patient is fully aware of the intensity of the procedure and that they are comfortable in continuing with the scan.• Prepare images for the Radiologist Consultant to make a report for the relevant doctor or GP. • Throughout the whole procedure I am in constant contact with the patient and giving them reassurance of any uncertainty.
