Spectrum for Living is a New Jersey nonprofit organization dedicated to the philosophy that persons with intellectual and developmental disabilities have the same rights as others to experience a fulfilling and meaningful life. Employing more than 600 personnel and serving more than 1,000 adults annually through a network of 26 program locations, the agency's programs and services support dignity and independence and encourage each person to reach their fullest potential. As President & CEO, I am responsible for the day-to-day management and operation of the organization, and I am presently focused on ensuring that the organization adheres to sound governance and internal management practices to ensure optimal mission impact. During my tenure thus far, I have:• Successfully managed the agency through its transition from New Jersey’s former contract reimbursement revenue model to the fee-for-service reimbursement model. • Formulated and implemented a corporate restructuring to better align resources with existing talent and build a more cohesive leadership team. • Implemented annual Direct Service Professional (“DSP”) wage increases to bring the agency starting wage from $10.50/hour to $20.34/hour and a $9.84/hour across-the-board wage increase for veteran DSPs.• Established an employee recognition program to better reward dedicated employees and improve employee morale.

Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Tri-State Area creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children. The organization’s signature programs include college scholarships, community grants, and financial support to 5 Ronald McDonald Houses, which are "homes away from home" keeping families with sick children close to each other and the care and resources they need. As Executive Director, I managed the day-to-day operations and worked closely with the Board of Trustees to ensure optimal mission impact of the organization.

College Summit works with schools, school districts and colleges to increase college enrollment rates of low-income students. As Executive Director of College Summit’s largest region, I provided leadership in a number of key areas, including:Regional Leadership and Strategic Partnerships • Lead a high impact program team in administering College Summit’s proprietary postsecondary planning curriculum in 31 partner New York City public high schools and serving over 5,000 low-income students, • Ensured involvement in strategic post-secondary planning initiatives with the New York City public school system, other regional school networks, higher education institutions and educational stakeholders,• Lead all strategic and growth planning for the New York City region, and ensured programmatic and financial success by translating strategic plans into operational benchmarks/goals, and • Served as the agency’s public relations liaison with the local media and community.Financial & Fundraising Management• Oversaw and managed the organization’s annual budget and personally drove local fundraising and school partner recruitment efforts to ensure sufficient philanthropic support and school fee-for-service dollars to maintain continued fiscal viability, • Partnered closely with the CEO/Founder and the President of College Summit, the College Summit National fundraising team, and managed local Development Director to effectively cultivate and manage key national and local donors.Regional Team Management• Directed Program Director, Strategic Partnerships Director, and Development Director and provided general oversight of all agency employees, and• Managed an active local Advisory Board of 6 community civic and business leaders.

As the local affiliate of an established national program, Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York helps academically capable and motivated children-in-need to meet their full potential and become men and women for others by providing value-centered, family-like homes, opportunities, and an education through college. As Executive Director of Boys Hope Girls Hope's largest affiliate, I:• Lead operations and implemented the strategic direction of the organization with full responsibility for bottom-line factors, including number of children served, student performance and quality of services delivered,• Provided cross-functional management; oversaw and managed the organization's annual budget to ensure it's continued fiscal viability; and directed programmatic operations to ensure maximization of mission impact while acting at all times in compliance with New York City and State regulations,• Directed fundraising special events and oversaw foundation and individual donor development to ensure attainment of annual financial goals,• Recruited all senior management employees; directed three Program Directors, a Finance Director, and a Development Director; and provided general oversight of all agency employees,• Served as the agency’s public relations liaison with the media and the community, and • Reported to a 31-member Board of Directors; identified and recruited new Directors to serve on agency’s Board; and managed all Board Committees.

Covenant House is the world's largest adolescent care agency serving homeless, runaway and at-risk youth. As Director of Advocacy and Legal Services for Covenant House New York, I:• Advised the Executive Director and other senior management on legal issues concerning the agency and functioned as a member of the executive management team, including strategic planning discussions, capital campaign fundraising and implementation of agency Mission and Vision,• Formulated and directed the agency’s advocacy and legal services efforts on behalf of runaway and homeless youth and provided direct civil legal representation to residents of the agency’s three homeless shelters primarily in the practice areas of immigration, family law and housing, • Oversaw and managed the departmental budget and supervised four staff attorneys as well as legal interns and homeless youth advocates,• Met with federal, state and local elected officials in connection with advocacy initiatives and presented written and oral testimony before federal, state and city public hearings on issues affecting the homeless,• Organized town hall meetings, advocacy forums, and advocacy trips to Washington, D.C. and Albany, New York, and• Reported to the Executive Director and agency Board of Directors regarding the administration of the Department.
