•Provide direct supervision and planning to multiple mechanical projects, shifts, and union employees including diesel mechanics, electricians and laborers. •Own direct responsibility for all labor, coordination, quality control and safety for the organization. • Evaluate electrical systems in accordance with Federal Railroad Administration and company standards.• Conduct electrical inspection, troubleshooting, installation and repair of locomotives and locomotive components such three phase electrical systems and an array of sensors, resistors, relays, contactors, breakers, terminal boards, motors, network components and software. Calibrate and replace electrical high and low voltage, mechanical, and electro-magnetic equipment. Maintain, program and troubleshoot communication equipment and networks as well as locomotive video and audio equipment. • Research locomotive history and previous repairs to further analyze and troubleshoot while using all available resources to determine corrective actions and plan.
