I have worked in Logistics for 22 years, gaining experience and knowledge in a wide range of areas.I am a keen participator in any Health & Safety initiatives, having lead our on-site Health & Safety Team for a number of years. From a personnel perspective, I have led recruitment drives for new sites, taking responsibility for recruiting and training a staff, that ultimately reached a headcount of 190 people. I have vast experience in managing Company guidelines, including Disciplinary, Welfare & Grievance, all the way to Tribunal when required. I have managed in both the Transport and Warehousing elements of our business. In Transport, I manage a team of almost 130 LGV Drivers and a fleet of over 60 LG vehicles. My personal successes including passing my Cat C licence, achieving my Management CPC in Transport and becoming a named individual on the Company 'O' licence. I have successfully combined a once dual Transport Managers Role into a single role, reducing the ancillary team headcount by almost 30% during the same period. During my period of managing the Warehouse function, I implemented a task based rota, to ensure the correct amount of people are planned in at the required times. This supported my consistently performing below budget, year on year. In 2017 I had successfully reduced our annual wastage to 0.045%. I am keen exponent of all things H&S and have contributed to the successful reduction of Lost Time Accidents on Site, through effective management and investigation into incidents and applying effective permanent fixes. I have been involved in several successful CI Initiatives, mostly utilising DMAIC. It is an area in which I am extremely keen to develop.Over all, I have a vast experience in all things Logistics, but believe that my fundamental skill-set would transfer quite easily to other Management environments. I am confident, competent and ambitious.
