My undergraduate degree in Environmental Studies, with a focus on Management, along with my Certificate in Sustainable Energy has given me insight into the importance of connecting strategies with communities and people. My masters has cultivated a passion for sustainable forestry which I plan on continuing as a career. Having worked in the field since early 2017, I have gained valuable work experience as a researcher, forest technician, Registered Professional Forester and most recently a consulting arborist.

I was responsible for running a field crew of three at the Weymouth point Study Area in north central Maine. The project was based around compiling data from a 35 year old permanent study plot looking at Long-Term Effects of Harvest Residues on Spruce-Fir Forest Growth Following Whole-Tree and Stem-Only Harvesting. My duties included Researching and writing field protocols for the field and then implementing them with my field crew. The activities we undertook included digging both quantitative and morphological soil pits, sampling fine and course woody debris, sampling stumps and snags and conducting an above ground live tree audit. My self and my team also conducted preliminary lab work and sample processing for continued testing later that year.
