I am a seasoned non-profit professional with extensive leadership experience. In 2018, I became the Executive Director of California ChangeLawyers, a statewide foundation that empowers the next generation of lawyers, judges, and activists to create a more diverse legal profession, a fair justice system, and a better California. I pioneered the creation of the Legal Empowerment Fund, co-founded the Immigration Legal Fellowship Program, and innovated a new public interest summer fellowship program for California law students. Previously, I was Executive Director of the Asian Law Caucus, the nation's oldest Asian American public interest law organization. During my 8 years of management at the organization including 3 years in an Executive Director capacity, I focused on creating a model of “local to national” where the organization utilized its deep reach in the San Francisco Bay Area to have impact on the national level. I hold deep expertise in DEI, Asian American, racial justice, immigration, philanthropy, and wellness issues. I have appeared on diverse new outlets from Fox News to the Filipino Channel, and have been quoted by the Associated Press, Reuters, ThinkProgress, and others. I have been recognized by the Ford Foundation (New Voices Fellowship), the Levi Strauss Foundation (Pioneers in Justice), the Wallace A. Gerbode Foundation, the California Asian Pacific American Bar Association as the 2020 Attorney of the Year, and the Filipino Bar Association of the Northern California as Trailblazer in 2022. I am also certified as a yoga instructor, YT-500; graduated from the Mindfulness in Law Teacher Training (MLTT) in 2022; and served as support teacher for MLTT in 2024.
