Experienced Certified Provider Credentialing Specialist with eight years in managed care credentialing, working for a Physician Hospital Organization (PHO) in Northwest Arkansas with an additional two years of privileging experience in a Medical Staff Services environment. Responsibilities in my current role have included initial credentialing, re-credentialing, provider enrollment, maintenance of provider rosters, and interaction with the payers we contract with regarding network issues. Additionally, preparation for and participation in annual payer audits in compliance with managed care delegated credentialing contracts, and regular monitoring, review and updates to our credentialing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NCQA requirements and credentialing standards. I oversee personnel performing credentialing and provider-enrollment functions, including work allocation, training, verification of accuracy, auditing of internal procedures and credentialing systems controls. I have seen the PHO grow from approximately 535 providers when I was first hired to nearly 1000 providers today, in an ever-changing, rapidly growing healthcare environment.
