My Responsibilities at this renowned international university include management of extensive University marine leisure and beach facilities including a Marina, all Watersports Operations, Office and Retail buildings. Asset management exceeding £5 million including leisure craft and marine leisure equipment. Directly responsible for all aspects of Health and Safety including the development of new safe working management systems and operating procedures. Financial control and management of budgets. Attended meetings with external contractors, local Authorities and within the University including Environment and Property Management Departments. Directly responsible to the Project Director and University Directors with frequent consultation with Head of departments and security services. Key Achievements include the development of the first Marine Academy to RYA Standards, introduction of School Sailing Programs and significant increase in facility and beach use through a focused marketing campaign. Additionally, the operation saw the benefits of RYA accreditation with a diverse multicultural staff achieving RYA instructor certification.
