I am a Partner at Withers & Rogers LLP. I advise both local domestic companies and multi-nationals operating in the engineering industry in intellectual property matters. This includes patent drafting and prosecution, registration of designs, providing freedom to operate and infringement advice and competitor analysis. I was entered onto the UK Register of Patent Attorneys in March 2015, and was elected a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Patent Attorneys in September 2015. I was entered onto the list of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office in August 2015. I joined the Midlands Office of Withers & Rogers in June 2011, working in the Advanced Engineering Group.

Filton, Bristol

Working in Industrial Integration for the A350 XWB wing development product team, my role required me to give specialist support to the various programme customers as to the best practice and legality in the application of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing for specific components and assemblies. Additionally, I was responsible for identifying the need for tolerance studies, preparing the necessary documentation for these studies and working the studies through personally, or in collaboration with 3D tolerancing Engineers. The role required a full understanding of the proposed manufacturing philosophy and the associated manufacturing capabilities of the wing build.

Filton, Bristol

I started this graduate programme of two years with a placement in the future projects office. I concentrated on methods and concepts of wing assembly. My first placement out of this area was with the A400M programme, working in wing equipping shop support, a placement which I followed out to the final assembly line in Seville. I then transferred to Airbus derivatives engineering, (formerly of EADS CASA), where I worked on the various MRTT programmes. After seven months in Spain I returned to the UK to work on the A350 XWB.

Ottobrunn, Munich

I completed this five month voluntary internship during 2007, where my principal responsibilities were to compile general economic data aswell as EADS specific sourcing data for potential suppliers according to the planned missions. I also worked in the definition of a process to select new suppliers, allowing the departments work to be managed by a central database.
