Competency leader for Macromolecular Characterization in Core Analytical Sciences at Experimental Station, Wilmington, Delaware site. Our goal is to enable value-creating science and engineering by leveraging state-of-art techniques within our specialty and reacting quickly to customer and business needs. Currently lead two associate scientists to meet this goal. Coauthor of two chapters on polymer chromatography, coinventor on one granted patent. Invited expert speaker at GPC Symposium.Macromolecular Characterization: Synthetic and bio-macromolecule characterization using techniques such as size exclusion chromatography, interaction polymer chromatography, 2D chromatography, coupled with online light scattering (static and dynamic), mass spectrometry, and viscometry. Implemented innovations such as transesterification quantification by chromatography, custom chromatographic solutions, and modelling polymer separations.Areas of expertise: Polysaccharides, polyesters, polyimide, and other polymers, bio-sourced polymers, copolymer characterization, structured nanoscale systems.Specialties: Separation science, polymer physics, molecular modeling, thermodynamics.

I am responsible for the Macromolecule Characterization group, in the Corporate Center for Analytical Science at DuPont. The group consists of 9 members, including myself and another PI. The lab supports DuPont's need for polymer characterization across its many platforms, including Tyvek(r), Kevlar(r), Hytrel(r), Bynel(r), and many more, as well as method development and research support for Central Research & Development. Our primary tools are Size Exclusion Chromatography, Static Light Scattering, Dilute Solution Viscosity, and Interaction Polymer Chromatography. The encompasses approximately 30 HPLCs, including Waters Alliance, Acquity, and APC, Dionex UltiMate 3000, Agilent 1200, High Temperature GPC via Agilent PL-220, and light scattering detectors by Wyatt and Brookhaven.
