I began working for P.D.Hook Hatcheries as a Hatchery Operative at 19 years of age assisting in the process of incubating eggs for hatching into chicks for distribution to farms.I progressed gaining my NVQ level 2 in Agriculture (Poultry) this entailed bio security procedures, programming computers, alarm monitoring, manual handling, chick welfare.In August 2012 I passed my HGV class 2 C licence at 21 years of age.I drove throughout the country collecting eggs and delivering day old chicks to farms and Hatcheries. In October 2016 aged 26 I passed my HGV class 1 C+E license and transfered over to the Live Haulage side of the Business under Hook2sisters in April 2017.I have driven a 44 tonne articulated lorry to farms throughout the UK.I thoroughly enjoy the Transport industry. I enjoy my work, driving has given me alot of new challenges and it has been very rewarding. I have trained new class 2 C drivers prior to taking their C+E tests. I have also trained alot of our drivers when they started.I am very career driven and I always want to better myself and seek new challenges.In November 2023 I started my Transport Management CPC Course held at Transafe/Modul Training Centre in Immingham.I had revised for 5 months prior to starting the course, there was a lot of information to understand and digest.I was informed in January 2024 that I had passed my Transport Management Qualification and received my Level 3 Certificate of Professional Competence for Transport Managers Certificates.I have secured a full time position as a Transport Manager at Maritime, Doncaster (Armthorpe).I enjoy going to the Gym and keeping active.I have a keen interest in property and enjoy spending time with my family.
