I am pursuing my PhD in Electrical Engineering at Georgia Tech as a member of the AI Virtual Assistant Lab (AVA Lab). Our lab is focused on deep learning for natural language processing. My research interests include language modeling and text generation, conversational AI, and inference and reasoning.

Internship with Speech Team for Google. We developed a novel method to improve domain adaptation in task-oriented dialogue systems (paper under review).

Internship with the Alexa Personalized Experiences team. We developed a novel framework for personalization of LLMs using retrieval-based methods combined with offline LLM summarization of user data. Our paper can be found here: https://arxiv.org/abs/2310.20081

Internship with Alexa AI on the conversational experiences team. My research involves identifying follow-on actions to make Alexa more proactive and engaging, and to improve the customer experience.

I was a research engineer for the Collaborative Autonomy Group in the Robotics and Autonomous Systems Division of GTRI. I developed autonomy algorithms for robotic systems, including path planning, task allocation, controls, and behavior execution.

GNC Engineer for Aurora's entry into DARPA's ALIAS program. The program's primary goal was to develop a portable autonomy system for manned aircraft. Our system utilizes machine vision and hydraulic actuation to control an aircraft via standard human controls (stick, yoke, rudder pedals, etc.) This enables the system to be easily adapted to existing manned aircraft.- Supported development of Flight Control System for ALIAS- Supported time-domain and frequency-domain design and analysis of autopilot, primarily in Matlab and Simulink- Developed and tested State Estimation subsystem, which combined data from the inertial navigation unit and the perception system to produce accurate and robust state estimates - Supported testing of state estimation, control system, perception, and actuation in hardware-in-the-loop simulations- Performed analysis on state estimation data from flight tests for verification and validation

I was a graduate research assistant in the Aerospace Engineering department at the Georgia Institute of Technology. My work involved online parameter identification for Higher Harmonic Control of helicopters.

For 6 months I worked on a co-op with the Robotics Modeling and Simulation group at JPL. I worked in the DARTS lab where engineers design advanced dynamics modeling software. These tools are used by other groups throughout JPL to perform high fidelity simulations and multi-mission analysis of space flight systems.

I worked at JPL as an intern during the summer of 2014 doing modeling and simulation. I worked on the control system design and simulation for a low cost heliostat for concentrated solar power applications.

I worked on several projects during my undergraduate studies, including monte carlo computational methods for simulating rarefied gas flow, simulation of complex, nonlinear control systems for spacecraft attitude control using STK/Matlab interface, and systems engineering and mission design for the RECONSO entry for the University Nanosatellite Program.
