The Senior Analyst provides evidence-based analytic support, policy development, project coordination and advice on a range of Indigenous and northern policy and program issues related to the Department of Indigenous Reconciliation and Northern Relations and the Manitoba Government. Additional responsibilities include working with other provincial departments, Indigenous communities and other levels of government to coordinate, research, analyse, develop and implement a range of provincial policies, programs and initiatives aimed at contributing to an improved quality of life for Indigenous and northern Manitobans. The Senior Analyst works with regional staff to support operational objectives related to governance and administration, compliance and municipal services. The analyst also works to identify methods of measuring progress to achieve provincial and departmental objectives.

Working to supervise a team of Watercraft Inspectors I play a fundamental role in helping gather information on Aquatic Invasive Species in Manitoba.

As a nature interpreter at Oak Hammock Marsh my job is to connect the public and various school groups with Environmental education and building appreciation for the ongoing conservation efforts being undertaken by Ducks Unlimited Canada.

Spruce Woods Provincial Park

As a park interpreter in Spruce Woods provincial park I worked to develop and implement various environmental based programs for the public in a variety of topics such as: AIS, wild hogs, eco-systems, soils, plant ecology, Canadian cultural history, and much more. From this position I gained a great appreciation for the parks system and our current initiatives to tackle the climate crisis. From this position I was also given the opportunity to work alongside local NGOs and establish relationships with local landowners to elevate the public’s understanding of the role everyone plays in environmental stewardship.

At Assiniboine Park Conservancy I worked with the grounds department assisting in environmental stewardship of the area, through plantings, identification of invasive species, and waste management.
