I have earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering with a Biochemical emphasis at the University of Southern California and I am passionate about applying my knowledge of chemical engineering to biochemical and biotechnological problems. I am currently pursuing a master's degree at USC in industrial and systems engineering to better learn to apply technical skills/knowledge gained from my undergraduate education in a corporate environment.I have gained valuable laboratory and project management skills through my involvement in undergraduate research at the Modular Microfluidics Lab, where I work with a team of other research assistants under a PhD student mentor. We produce and analyze cell-sized model membranes using microfluidics and microscopy techniques, and we have contributed to two published research articles on giant unilamellar vesicle (GUV) membrane research. I enjoy collaborating with my peers and mentors, and I am eager to apply my research skills to industry-based projects. I welcome any opportunities to connect with professionals and organizations in the biochemical and biotechnological fields.
