The Calvitti brothers are exposing me to the world of HVAC. John Calvitti Company is a general contractor base out of the East Falls region of Philadelphia. We Work on Cooling tower applications such as complete tower installments, Fill change, Coatings, ordering parts, and along with PM (preventative maintenance). Our Vice President/ Co-Owner, Ed Calvitti then takes me out to the job sites to inspect cooling towers components that need to be replaced. After we gather pricing and information for each job we then begin to construct takeoffs for our clients through communication with our regional Vendors. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation placed me on two jobs this summer as an Inspector to oversee and monitor the safety of Laborers working. Both which were bridge projects in the city of Scranton, Pennsylvania. Rockwell Avenue and the Harrison Avenue bridge projects the two projects I assisted other inspectors. Duties such as Rebar Counts, Figuring Quantities, Releasing Concrete, and Filling out FID`s (Field Inspector`s Diary) for each of these construction projects. Every Tuesday I would attend a progress meeting for the Harrison Ave. project and when applicable provide input to help the collaboration of the CM, Contractor, Engineer, and Other parties in attendance at these meetings.

Started as a dishwasher and eventually proved myself to be a very efficient worker which resulted in a promotion to the chef staff. Where I excelled operating the flat iron grill during intense dinner rushes. soon after I was put in charge of the outdoor patios grill to operate during weekends while golfers made their rounds. In the last summer of working, I was also put in charge of creating a weekly flatbread pizza to be featured on the menu.
