Monitor environmental systems (CRAC’s, PDU’s, ATS’s, UPS’s, generators) using sitescan and DCE DCIM tools in a Tier III data center operating 24x7.Proficient in handling system problems, researching, resolving, and escalating incidents while effectively communicating with supervisors and support staff.Multi-task efficiently, demonstrate effective communication, and make independent judgments in abnormal situations.Participate in shift turnovers, check emails for relevant information, and ensure the security of the Data Center area.Perform shipping/receiving actions, log incoming/outgoing equipment, and provide timely Operator to Cabinet service for hosted clients.Record Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) statistics, perform Data Center walkthroughs, and monitor facility environmentals.Utilize SOI, Netbackup, Datagate/Ensemble interfaces, and open Service Desk tickets for backup failures and break fixes.Answer phones, track on-site vendors, and assist with operations at different sites when required.Maintain cleanliness in the Data Center and loading dock, communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers, and undertake additional duties as assigned.
