Provides medical and dental services for personnel in field units. Provides technical and administrative assistance to support the mission and functions of the Navy and Marine Corps field units. Assists with instruction, supervision, and evaluation of students and other corpsmen assigned duties relating to surgery. --Served with 3rd Battalion 6th Marines from MAR 2008 to JUN 2009 in operation Iraqi Freedom 8-9 as a Line Corpsman, assisting with security and tactical operations while providing medical support for any and all combat injuries sustained for over thirty infantry marines. Patrols totaled at over two hundred mounted and one hundred and fifty dismounted patrols.

Assists hospital officers with administrative procedures; emergency treatment; equipment maintenance; infection control; laboratory test procedures; material management; medication administration; patient assessment care, and transport; recording and documenting; routine medical care; and wound and incision care.
