I was asked to join Fix8 to develop a start up into a successful brand within the industry. Starting with just 2 people, we were tasked to build & develop supplier & customer relationships, stream line our parent companies supply chain (Swift Horsman Group), develop profitable new customer relationships & later to create a compliant hire department. The company grew from £1m to £6m during this time and as the Company expanded I took on the new roles required of me. After 2 years of gaining purchasing knowledge & finding a natural affinity to dealing with customers, I moved into Technical Sales creating strong & lasting customer relationships. Orbital wanted to promote the company beyond the use of Sales Representatives and I was asked to train in marketing tools & promote the company via printed material & online channels. I developed the Website from a single page advert to a successful marketing tool, creating warm leads and cash sales. I also created their first company catalogue and organised Orbital suppliers to essentially pay for it through credits, stock contributions or rebates.During this time we out grew our original premises and moved to a new location. I organised all I.T. requirements during the move, which led me to take onboard the responsibilities forth with. I controlled and maintained the company network, infrastructure requirements & upgrades, mobile contracts & renewals. At the time of leaving Orbital Fasteners were one of the biggest suppliers within their industry in the South East and they continue to be a major player.
