Postdoctoral Fellow
• I furthered the development of a life-stage PBPK correlated Monte Carlo to simulate epidemiological studies of chemicals to assess the causative association and potential reverse causality in delayed onset to menopause in women.
Postdoctoral Fellow
• I derived in vitro point of departures based upon biokinetics and transcriptomic concentration-response data in rat and human primary hepatocytes to estimate human equivalent doses using life-stage PBPK and correlated Monte Carlo. I also used in vitro to in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE) to scale intrinsic clearances to hepatic metabolic clearance for predicting chemical metabolism in vivo.• I furthered the development of a life-stage PBPK correlated Monte Carlo to simulate epidemiological studies of chemicals to assess the causative association and potential reverse causality in delayed onset to menopause in women.
Research Associate
•Developed physiologically based pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic (PBPK/PD) models of chemical compounds that enable improved risk assessment.•Developed quantitative structure activity relationships (QSARs) to fill PBPK/PD data gaps such as tissue: plasma partition coefficients and bimolecular rate constants.•Advanced group capabilities by assisting in the development of a new wet chemistry laboratory. •Designed molecular biology and cell culture experiments that enabled enzymatic and structural characterization of recombinant proteins.•Performed small molecule virtual screening (molecular docking, similarity searches) of the E-molecule and Zinc libraries using high performance supercomputers and OpenEye software.•Identified lead candidates by assaying the top virtual screening hits spectrophotometrically with high-throughput liquid handlers (Labcyte Echo 550). Performed orthogonal screens such as Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR), Isothermal Titration Calorimetry (ITC) and Microscale Thermophoresis (MST) to confirm small molecule binding.Administrative Assignments: Maintained and cataloged literature and data records for biological modeling group. Participated in monthly laboratory meetings and seminars. Wrote publications, reports and manuscripts. Attended and presented at national meetings. Ordered equipment, supplies, software, etc. Mentored and trained summer interns. Served as peer reviewer for journal article submissions.
Assistant Biochemist
•Research focused on the development of Quantitative Structure Activity Relationships (QSARs), Physiologically Based Pharmacokinetic and Pharmacodynamic (PBPK/PD) models, and molecular models of chemical and biological compounds.•Performed Ellman assays for various rat brain regions exposed to DFP, a potent organophosphate, to measure acetylcholinesterase and butyrylcholinsterase activity at various time points.Administrative Assignments: Maintained and cataloged literature and data records for biological modeling group. Wrote quarterly reports, end of day reports, and manuscripts for various funded efforts. Ordered equipment, supplies, software, etc.
