I am now in a Safeguarding & Pastoral role working with a number of secondary education settings. I have developed the ability to engage & work with some of the most challenging cohort along with all types of inclusion & diversity in the area. I was previously a Pastoral Intervention lead plus Careers Lead in a secondary school. I have current Safeguarding Lead training within secondary education. I continuously working work alongside to inclusion team to create plans and passports for students who need specific help in education. I currently work with various organisations through referrals etc to safeguard students inside and outside of school. As the careers lead I mange admin staff and careers advisors who come into the school to assist the Year 11’s. I have begun to create and build professional relationships with outside organisations to come into the school to provide workshops, qualifications etc. Working in education has been a massive part of my employment to date. The experiences I have gained from my PGCE placement of teaching a sports course in a Knowsley Community college and my PGCE in Further Education along with my Sports Coaching degree. Throughout my years of work and training and employment safeguarding students of a range of ages has always been a considerable part of my roles and responsibilities. I am very confident in using a computer for work and pride myself to be a strong independent worker when needed. My settings of work have led me to grown and constantly show a high level of integrity with the ability to deal with sensitive and confidential matters and have a positive solution focused attitude not matter what the situation is. I have everyday experience and knowledge of safeguarding students’ and participants to a high level. Additionally, I pride myself in my ability to create and deliver fun engaging lessons and coaching sessions, specific to progressing participants for all needs and diversity. I feel my sessions have the responsibility of not only inspiring and developing individuals on the pitch and their abilities in the social aspect, but also nurturing well rounded individuals off the pitch. I have positive working relationships which staff members and any outside organisations I worked with as I recognise how important it is to have positive partnerships. My personality and hard working work ethic excites me for this role if successful.
