Working to develop the PLM approach used on the Type 26 Programme, support the roll out of new capability and collaborate with various parties to push forward the use of a PLM approach in the sphere of complex warship design and building.

Site wide responsibility for the day to day management and support of the Engineering Toolset as well as Archiving and Reprographic Services. Also involved in company wide development of Engineering Policy and Process.

Worked directly with the engineering tools manager learning how PLM is managed in the business. Also responsible for the standard parts library in TeamCenter for NX users in Newcastle. As I developed I also gained responsibility for upgrade testing and user support.

I joined BAE Systems on the Graduate Development Programme which consisted of a series of placements within different projects in the Land Systems (now GCS Vehicles) Support Engineering (now Military and Technical Services) function.

For my year in industry I worked in the Sales Engineering Dept at Volvo Trucks UK, providing weight distribution, Powertrain Calculation and Design consultation services for both the Volvo Dealership Network and the Bodybuilding Industry at large with respect to Volvo Trucks' product offering. I also provided engineering support for Marketing Dept activities and co-developed and delivered two training courses, one product awareness course for dealers and one technical knowledge course for none technical staff.
