My goal is to create hand-blown cave structures that entice both pet and owner in the nano world. Giving the pet a little more comfort in its nano environment while looking beautiful to the caretaker.I’m Christopher Chun and I live in Baltimore Maryland. I have been blowing glass full-time since 2008. I have spent a decade in the scientific world making various instruments (viscometers, spectrometers, etc). I spent the rest of the time in the art and pipe world. I have a BA from Michigan State University and an Associate of applied science from SCC’s scientific glass program. I am finding a true respect for art and science.I have been making glass for my fish to interact with. I found a renewed gumption for aquariums after a house transfer 10 years ago went wrong and I lost all my fish. It was my fault. My initial idea was to entice my new scarlet badis. What I discovered was my pygmy corys and otocinclus like it too. One of my corys sleeps in my glass most nights. The oto’s are always first to inspect the glass. They seem to like the feeling of glass on their mouths. I've found that anemone love the glass. It is also a great way to move anemone. My clowns and anemone interact with the glass in a way that makes my heart full.I intend on creating glass designs by hand that strengthen the bond between human and pet in a further pursuit of symbiotic science and art.WARNING: These are not toys. Please do not buy these for a child unless there is complete supervision.
