Evolution – what I would like to do with my client’s events portfolioHaving served Goodwood for 15 years the timing was absolutely right for me to follow my lifelong ambition and establish my own creative events agency. The ceiling for progression at Goodwood was reached and despite the place being in my DNA, the time was right to move on. It was a truly emotional parting and those that know me will realise I had to dig very deep to make the decision. Goodwood has been a real rush. Great people, great events and a mecca for creativity and autonomy for “can do innovation”.Now, I can rattle on like all the other LinkedIn pages, detailing how marvellous I think I am by providing you with every self-congratulatory adjective under the sun (all freshly squeezed from someone else’s profile or from the latest management handbook). But I won’t.Put simply my career has been about five things. Energy, enthusiasm, ideas, time, results.I have been gifted this opportunity to be able to share my passion, not only for events, but for motorsport as well. By the time I was 29 I was the Event Manager for two of the most successful and instantly recognisable motorsport events on the planet, the Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival. I was elected to the board of the Goodwood Road Racing Company at the age of 34 and I was the Event Director for the “Best New Music Festival” in 2010, Vintage at Goodwood. My experience at Goodwood spans Motorsport, Music Festivals, Golf Events, Horse Racing, Aviation and much more. No other place can provide this exceptional grounding.Now is the time to invest and share in my passion for the wider global events industry. To implement the staging of the headline International Events hosted at Goodwood. Portfolio includes the world famous Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival and the must attend horse racing festival, Glorious Goodwood. Line Management responsibility for the Event Operations Department. To ensure the headline events meet and exceed all compliance issues. Partnering with the Line MD's to ensure forecasted event delivery, efficient event programming, installation, extraction and emergency planning. Responsibility for implementation of capital investment projects. Overall responsibility for complex supply chain management, including stock procurement, pre and post contract administration and contract negiotiation. To support the line MD's with the strategic direction of the total events portfollio and to provide creative influence ensuring the Goodwood Events continue to excite and delight.Secondment in 2010 to act as Event Director for the award winning new summer festival, Vintage at Goodwood.

Overall responsibility for the planning and logistics for the headline motor sport events at Goodwood, The Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival. Implementation and engineering of new creative content, new hospitality products and champion of the customer experience. Chair of all multi agency meetings and of emergency planning protocals, including partnerhsips with the local authority and statutory authorities. Line report of the Motor Sport Events Team. Overall responibility for the procurement of infrastructure and complex supply chain management.

Venue preparation and on the ground presentation responsiblity for the Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival. Management of all site capital investment programmes including pre and post contract administration, tendering and health & safety implementation. line manager for servicedepartment providing event utlities and temporary structures. Close liaison with the local agencies to ebsure compliance and with the Motor Sport Association regarding the submission of track licences and event permits.

Reportable to the Event Manager the position was responsible for the procurement of infrastructure required to stage the headline Motor Sport Events at Goodwood. The role also acted as the day to day liasion and administrator between the Motorsport Governing bodies required for the licensing of motoring racing activities.
