Power Plant Control Room Operator at Sundance Power Plant. Fully trained and experienced in all operations of the largest coal fired power plant in western Canada. This includes the plants ash handling systems, water treatment systems, boiler house , turbine house and generator area duties. Duties included keeping accurate shift logs, communications with grid control s systems, writing up lockout / tagout clearences for safe isolation of equipment for maintenance, reporting maintenance issues and submitting reports into the SAP system and also the training of new operators.

Foreman duties for the day today operation and maintenance of the boiler feed water plant, the Wabamun Lake Water Mitigation Plants 1 & 2 and the site potable water plant. This including the training of new operators as well as the scheduling of routine and emergent maintenance of these plants.Experience with multiple water treatment systems including demineralization, reverse osmosis, micro filtration, actiflo systems, ozone/ chlorine disinfection , dual media filters and conventional clarification water treatment systems. Foreman duties also writing up lockout/ tagout clearances for safe isolation of equipment for maintenance. Also the safe work permit issuer for issuing permits for the safety of personnel working on equipment.I also have experience with the construction and commissioning of three separate water treatment plants while working with Transalta Utilities at the Sundance Power Plant.
