After a highly demanding and rewarding career in the British Army, I took up the role of Maintenance shift leader for Magnet kitchens as part of the Nobia group. The manufacturing industry is a challenging and exciting environment and Nobia has given me the opportunity to apply my skills gained in the military with the chance to further develop myself in the civilian world. The transition is a scary time for any service leaver, thankfully I’ve found a role which appreciates my military background and that is committed to supporting me now and tomorrow.I am known for being extremely motivated, versatile and diligent. Always striving to improve myself and those around me, I use my resourcefulness and relationship building to support longevity of cooperation across departments within my working environment. I am able to demonstrate exceptional problem solving skills through diligent fault finding and communicating clearly with all parties in order to support solutions, seeking ways to offer continuous improvement through learning not only for myself but motivating and empowering my team to deliver high quality engineering support and individual ongoing professional development.I have a tenacious attitude and insatiable appetite for excellence; and use a forward thinking approach and an eye for detail to adhere to and implement best practise for all Health and Safety procedures in the workplace and delivering exceptional customer support to both internal and external customers.

I produced a rota which ensured 24/7 assistance to enable optimal customer requirements and resulted in receiving a Senior British Military Leader’s commendation whilst on military operations in Afghanistan.• I was tasked to review an engineering process which resulted in putting in place a new local contract with a tyre changing facility which ultimately reduced the overall repair time for each vehicle and saved a projected £354,120 per annum. • Focal point for an external engineering assurance check conducted whilst on military operations for the United Nations (UN) in South Sudan. It was my responsibility to ensure that health and safety legislations were being adhered to, and that risk assessments were viable due to working in extreme adverse conditions. Subsequently the assessment praised the organisations efforts, especially the output of production due to my management. • Coached and mentored junior team members in trade proficiency, by reviewing and testing on a monthly basis on both technical and hands on knowledge to track progress and identify areas of strength and weakness. This has not only produced both highly competent and efficient tradesman, but also ensured correct progression of individual career paths. Show less -
