Member of the Clinical Reasoning Group Standards team. Continuing a similar role I performed for Alphora with more emphasis on development and project leadership than community engagement. Tech lead for several projects employing FHIR, CDS, and CQL standards.

Performed a hybrid role for the company where half of my capacity was directed toward community engagement while the other half was spent on software development. My duties included engaging the community in an effort to provide improved adoption and support of our projects. Additionally, provided educational training for FHIR knowledge authoring and clinical decision support development.

Five other developers and I from HarmonIQ started a consulting business focused on clinical decision support and promoting the use of dynamic content in healthcare systems. Much of my duties included expanding upon the R&D work I did with HarmonIQ. I continued as project manager of several clinical decision support and formal documentation projects. Starting in the summer of 2019, I began speaking at conferences and leading live-coding sessions to better promote the use of FHIR and CQL in the CDS lifecycle.

I started at HarmonIQ as an intern in February of 2016. I was hired full-time as a Junior Dev in May of 2016. My main duties have been quite varied. I have been working alongside the VP of Advanced Engineering (now the CTO) with R&D tasks and standards support, mainly related to Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources or FHIR (http://build.fhir.org). I have gained experience with a new language called Clinical Query Language or CQL, which is a query language (like SQL) specifically tailored for the clinical sphere. I have developed a knowledge repository and clinical decision support service in AWS specialized in quality measure evaluation, CDS Hooks request processing, and standard FHIR operations (source code: https://github.com/DBCG/cqf-ruler). I have developed an Angular 2 project that executes CQL language in a browser (Source: https://github.com/DBCG/cql_runner Website: http://cql-runner.dataphoria.org).
