About Christopher Schwebach, Ph.D.

Christopher Schwebach, Ph.D. is a R and D Scientist, Vaccines at Bimeda. He possess expertise in biochemistry, polymerase chain reaction, microsoft word, teaching, protein purification and 14 more skills. Colleagues describe him as "I've known Chris for over 6 years as a graduate student and then for a few months as a research associate in my lab. The reason I am writing this review is that I am eager to share my enthusiasm for this exceptional person and a colleague, but industry folks never asked me to provide a recommendation. Chris was an exceptional lab member, and certainly one of the very best grad students I had. I am an equally high opinion of Chris's personal and professional qualities. He is an exceptional experimentalist and a very organized, accurate, thoughtful, intelligent, and enthusiastic researcher. Chris was a reliable team player who supervised six undergraduate students, reflecting on his great organizational and leadership qualities. The undergrads under his supervision largely contributed to the research productivity in my group and are/will be authors in high-quality publications. No surprise, therefore, that he was and remains a role model for both current graduate and then-undergraduate students, many of whom have become medical and Ph.D. students. While in the lab, Chris mastered numerous protein purification and characterization biochemistry and biophysics techniques, including light-scattering- and fluorescence-based binding and stability assays, calorimetry, mutagenesis, and protein crystallography, to list few. He has published one manuscript so far, but three others are already written by him and with him as the primary author and will be published likely within a couple of months (one of them) to a year (two others) and will make a major contribution to the respective areas. During his years at OSU, Chris delivered many outstanding poster and oral presentations at local and international meetings and obtained several awards, including American Heart Association pre-doctoral award (declined) and Pelotonia award (accepted). Even at home, Chris remains a biochemist and cell (yeast) biologist, and I testify that beer brewed by him is of the highest standard. He is cheerful and trustful and is the best bowling player (well, at least certainly the best in my group). I wish you good luck in your career, Chris."

Listed skills include Biochemistry, Polymerase Chain Reaction, Microsoft Word, Teaching, and 15 others.
