The goal of the PPP is to establish a network of personal connections between young people in the U.S. and Germany in order to strengthen and to consolidate common political values and get to know different ways of life in the other country. To this end the PPP scholarship enables high school students and young professionals to spend a year in the USA. During this time, the scholarship recipients act as junior ambassadors their host families and in their free time, they share their experiences of the of cultural, social and political life in Germany. In everyday life what Germany and the U.S. have in common and what makes them different. They live and learn in a foreign culture, broadening their horizons through personal experience and thus make an important contribution to a better understanding between young Germans and Americans.https://www.bundestag.de/ppp
