Chris is a Board level Director who has worked within the I.T Industry for over 22 years. He began his career as an I.T coordinator within Banking, before moving onto mentoring delegates in achieving Microsoft, Cisco and CompTIA professional accreditations. He became a PRINCE2 practitioner in 2005 and moved on to becoming a Technical Project Manager at NETG working with large blue-chip companies whilst managing budgets of over 10 million. Chris joined The Bunker in 2007 and implemented project methodologies for Managed Services whilst creating the Project Management Office. In 2008 Chris took over Operations and Compliance developing core business processes and implementing compliancy frameworks. Chris joined the Senior Management Team as Client Services Director in 2011 before becoming Programme and Compliance Director in 2013. In 2017 Chris became a Company Director of The Bunker when it was acquired by Cyberfort Limited. As a fully qualified GDPR Data Practitioner, ISO 27001 & 9001 Lead Auditor and a 27005 Risk Manager, Chris has taken on a Group Data Protection and Compliance Officer role to ensure legal, statutory, and regulatory requirements are being met. Chris has had a successful career his key achievements have included managing a centre of excellence programme, delivering critical infrastructure and system projects as well as successfully implementing compliancy frameworks such as PCI DSS, ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, GDPR, Gcloud, DPST. His recent achievements include successfully creating the groups Governance Risk and Compliance strategy, integrating four businesses into one Information Security Management System, and obtaining ISO 27001 for the group. Chris is currently leading the Quality Management and Environment Management System programmes for the group to achieve ISO 9001 and 14001.Chris believes that Cyber Security has evolved from niche to need which has been largely driven by the EU regulation. With most organisations online 24/7 and data protection being placed under the microscope, customers are more conscious about how their data is secured and protected. Chris understands that Cyber Security should not be intrusive to businesses or seen as a barrier.
