In my current position with Insight Global I assisted with the functions and daily work operations for a UT hospital in Texas where I work on inventory, backorders, and anything associated with items and using Lawson to facilitate any issues or future ones. We follow up with venders, staff and work closely with a clinical specialist on getting items approved for use in the hospitals and pass correct inspections. We also deal with returns and use excel spreadsheets to organize and keep track of item updates, subs, backorders, and data that needs to be sorted and fixed. I also was appointed to structure a project that the hospital needed me to work on and start from ground zero which included a structure for backordered and inventory items to non-stock items and working with the par levels and reorder points.

In my current position at St. Joseph's Women’s Hospital my responsibilities include coordinating the ordering of stocks and non-stock item for all OR cases, I followed up with vendors and processed returns and credited items. Apart from that I also set up a return tracking sheet for the rest of the buyers returns. Along with that I maintain and updated requisition and purchasing order data, created a process in which items that have not been used get removed from the shelf upon approval, resulting in cost reduction. I update and organize by items name and specific location; a yearly inventory count is conducted for all items on the shelves. This inventory count improves present and future placing of items, and what is identified as a slow moving or fast-moving item. Process IMF forms to remove and add items to areas surrounding the OR. I communicate with Doctors’ offices on order sheets which consist of tissues, implants, and expanders needed for specific cases. Areas maintain include the following: Anesthesia, equipment room, housekeeping, robotic room, and SPD supplies. Software knowledge to maintain my areas of work include Cerner, Kronos, SPM, Excel, BTM and tissue case spreadsheet, also maintained payroll corrections and updates for the department. Ensured that our implant ordering process between BayCare and vendors was efficient, followed up with backorders and communicate with the staff. Conducted weekly audits to ensure that tissues are being logged into BTM.

My past position at Florida Hospital Tampa Division, I was responsible for systematic review of inventory for different units of the hospital. Inventory needs to be labeled properly and put in specific locations to safeguard that in the time of need it can be located and found to protect patient needs. This is imperative as a product not being available or labeled correctly could result in improper patient care. Using the hospitals proprietary software and discussions with management, as well as the nurses, I modify inventory levels to ensure that each unit has its required inventory.
