- Responsible for mid and long term field development in a super giant carbonate reservoir with multiple depletion schemes.- Led a multi-disciplinary subsurface and surface team conducting geoscience and reservoir engineering studies and constructing new generation reservoir geomodels for field development optimisation, reservoir appraisal design and long-term development planning.- Lead carbonate geologist on a field-wide reservoir characterization study. The study generated a new geological concept to explain reservoir property distribution tied to acoustic impedance and resulted in well placement optimisation and the definition of reservoir upside.- Mentor to young Emirati engineers and coach to experienced technical professionals.- The role required excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills with JV partners.

- Led a team of high performing G & G professionals in reservoir characterisation of operated and non-operated carbonate (UAE), fractured (Kurdistan) and Basement (Yemen) reservoirs.- Responsible for planning and implementing integrated multi-disciplinary studies of complex hydrocarbon reservoirs in OMV's U.A.E. concessions SARB and Umm Lulu Fields.- Key focus on understanding internal heterogeneity to optimize field development planning.

2017 - 2018 (OMV AD in Abu Dhabi):- Principle geologist responsible for reporting the subsurface risks, uncertainties and potential upside from carbonate reservoirs in business development projects.- Delivered G & G part of the OMV Technical Proposal for equity in the SARB/Umm Lulu offshore concession agreement. Ultimately the proposal resulted in OMV signing a 20% share in the concession. 2013 - 2016 (OMV Yemen in Dubai):- Developed a new geological concept for the fractured basement reservoir to optimise development drilling design.- Designed, managed and implemented an appraisal campaign in a tight, fractured sandstone reservoir. The project resulted in oil production from a previously unproduced reservoir.- Consultant carbonate sedimentologist for a Play and Prospect Study in South Fars (Iran): constructed regional common risk segment maps to derisk the placement of new exploration wells. - Described and interpreted more than 3000ft of core and built a regional conceptual geological model to challenge an exploration well placement in a challenging Eastern onshore Abu Dhabi exploration play.

- Constructed scenario-based Geomodels in Petrel testing petrophysical and structural uncertainty in Cretaceous carbonate reservoirs for two of the company’s mature oilfields. Proposed and presented new wells to management. Placed, landed and geosteered 14 successful horizontal oil producing wells as part of a mature field development. Managed all third party geological studies and integrated data into geomodels.- Generated a new geophysical interpretation of an appraisal/greenfield where shallow salt effected the depth conversion. The work led to an increase in STOIIP, the placement of expanded facilities and the drilling of a successful oil producing step out well.- Led a regional mapping project studying volumetric and productivity potential to hydraulically stimulate source rock/unconventional reservoirs.

- Responsible for the company’s geological interpretation in exploration and production blocks in northern Oman.- Designed and managed third party studies to maximise data acquired from core, BHI and while drilling for fracture characterisation.- Developed regional facies models of key reservoirs for input to prospectivity mapping as part of the exploration campaign in Oman.- Jointly responsible for picking two economically successful step out well locations in a fractured carbonate oil reservoir under early development.

2004 - 2006 in Muscat: Managing Secondee for Badley Ashton in PDO. Project manager for all core-based exploration geology studies: tendering, time scoping and facilitating the full life cycle of carbonate and clastic reservoir geology studies to ensure project delivery in Oman. Mentored Omani nationals in core sedimentology and thin-section petrography.2001 - 2004 in Abu Dhabi: Seconded to ResLab core analysis facility. Project leader on reservoir quality studies of Middle Eastern carbonate reservoirs for clients in UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait. Studies focused on microfacies and pore system analysis and the construction of paragenetic sequences for Geo-modeling scenarios.
