Stand in shift manager for the purpose of holiday cover and sickness. •Responsible for the day to day running of the bindery. •Production planning. •Staff management. ( can be upwards of 80 people across 12 machines during busy periods) •Customer relations. •Ensure all health and safety requirements are met. •Conduct regular housekeeping audits and ensure waste segregation guidelines are adhered to. •Overall responsibility for the bindery on weekend shifts. •Working to kpi’s. •Pass jobs prior to production. •Liaise with production planners and account managers to ensure strict deadlines are met and machines are used efficiently. •Liaise with other sites and suppliers. •Take calculated risks to ensure work is produced on time and with minimal downtime.

Operating the bindery's flagship Corona C13 binder. Producing many prestigious and also time sensitive titles. •Overall responsibility of the make ready and operation of the machine. •Follow work instructions. •Troubleshoot problems causing breaks in production. •Use kaizen and 5's to maximise productivity and efficiency of the machine and its crew. •Work with engineers to troubleshoot and repair breakdowns and defects. •Ensure all health and safety requirements are met. •Working to strict deadlines in a high pressure environment. •Flexibility across all 6 binding lines including Corona and Norm binders and their various trimmers and insert lines. •Lead a team of staff to maximise production and quality.

Reporting to the Grade 1 and shift supervisor. •Assist the Grade 1 in the make ready and operation off the machine. •Assist with troubleshooting problems causing breaks in production. •Ensure health and safety guidelines are met. •Follow work instructions. •Guillotine operator. •Provide holiday cover to the Grade 1 operators across all binding lines.

To assist in all aspects of the bindery. •Feeding of binders, stitching and mailing lines, including log loading and hand feeding of sections and inserts. •Stacking of finished products. •Housekeeping. •FLT driver.
