As a Systems Developer and IT Support Tech, I created custom software to help with the production processes of the child companies RITALKA, INC owns, including a heavy equipment manufacturing company SpecSys, Inc., and an electronics manufacturing and servicing company called RVI, INC. I also performed IT support duties working with users on support tickets, as well as server hardware and software administration and maintenance. I helped configure and deploy many new servers and dozens of workstations. I also built and rebuilt all corporate public-facing and Intranet web applications in PHP with MariaDB database backends.

At BiCoastal Media, I worked closely with the owner and the sales team to build online advertisement web applications based on PHP with a clustered Percona Database backend. The applications were high-traffic and scaled over multiple virtual servers with custom server configurations for automatic failover and high performance. Earlier apps were built using my custom low-memory high-performance PHP framework, but the newer apps were written using Laravel as the framework of choice for future development. In addition to the apps, I designed, configured and administered the VMware hypervisor servers and virtual machines for the web application servers, database clusters and firewalls.

I designed and implemented A/B testing strategies for email campaigns, optimizing subject lines, copy, and landing pages for SEO to improve open rates, click-through rates, and organic search traffic.

At SmartRocks I built multiple web applications both for SmartRocks own set of web tools and for third-party clients. I created a custom PHP-based tool for the quick provisioning of Virtual Machines for clients. I also created a PHP-based web application used by a payroll company for clients to submit payroll data securely online using a custom VPN to Intranet connection. Apps were all built using my custom low-memory high-performance PHP framework. I also designed, configured, deployed, and administered a cluster of VMware Hypervisor nodes on which the client software ran, as well as the virtual machines that ran the web apps and databases.

As a web developer at Vibe Media I was tasked with maintaining and upgrading a system of dynamic web applications for delivering online advertisements, as well as general IT tech support and administration. The applications ran in PHP with an Oracle database backend. I also created a system for customer-generated advertisement content submission and management with analytical tracking based in PHP with custom Javascript tools and a MySQL database backend. In addition to the software, I also designed, deployed, and administered the VMware hypervisor servers and the Virtual Machines running the web and database servers.
