As an artist, through the content of my work, I will be able to encourage audience members to critically think about social norms and how we subconsciously affect one another through our everyday behaviors. With my experiences as an activist, I will be able to share my successes and failures, and guide future activists at your institution, to make positive decisions for the community to flourish and teach students to become a better ally for movements or areas of interest.I administer poetry workshops and host patriarchy/feminism workshops all over California from Salinas to Long Beach. I donated 45 percent of the book's earnings to an after school program in Watsonville called "Youth NOW". As a result, I was able to raise over 500 dollars for the program.I am currently gearing up to release my second book, Something About September in 2019.
