Duties involve lesson plan development, course delivery including lecture based and technical hands on evolutions. My training and experience allow me to deliver live fire training, including suppression, ventilation, and rescue. In addition to fire based course I also deliver instruction in water rescue and hazardous materials on a regular basis.

Serving as commissioner for the fire district job duties are divided into two catergories—supervision of fire services provided and management of business policies, such as budgets and personnel.. As one of five elected commissioners, each commissioner takes on specific duties include master planning for future expansion & capital projects, management of a state-of-the-art training center, and maintaining an operational fleet operational apparatus. Ultimately, a commissioner should ensure that fire departments are effectively and efficiently delivering firefighting services and have the necessary equipment to do so.

Operational member of the primary HAZMAT/WMD response team for Ocean County, NJ. Tasked with emergency response to the entire county and surrounding jurisdictions for identification of unknown substances and offensive action to mitigate the problem. As a responder, training includes use of the HAZCAT ID and WMD kits, HAZMAT ID SABRE 4000 Trace Detector for narcotics, explosives, and WMD. The team also assists local and county law enforcement, as well as the State Police during investigations. The team has opened up numerous training opportunities that I look forward to taking part in to better further my knowledge and skills.
