I am the working Supervisor of the Small Computer section. A newly formed department supporting small computers, mobile devices and peripherals across Vandenburg Air Force base.

. Stepped in to provide supervision, continuity and support to an IT organization where several key IT Staff members including the Director/Systems Admin, Network Tech, Database Tech and Database Tech Assistant all left the organization in rapid succession. The enterprise consisted of 825 Workstations, 12 Servers, and 9 schools/departments distributed across 4 physical locations. With the Primary Working instruction to 'Maintain the Status Quo,' I supervised the remaining Clerk, two Desktop Technicians and DB Consultant; as well as filling in for the Systems Admin, Network Tech and Part of the Student Database Technician tasks. Performed Routine Novell/Microsoft Server and Network Upkeep. Managed the TTC6.2 Firewall/spam filter. Server Backups. Prepared Network, Server, and other supporting documentation for the permanent Director. Overall this assignment was uneventful requiring only a modest amount of experience be applied to routine problems.

. Performed advanced support and maintenance on a variety of computers, networks, and electronic equipment spanning 18 sites, 25+ servers, and approximately 3,000 workstations. Installed and/or troubleshot personal computer/server software and hardware. Repackaged commercial software applications for internal deployment using Novell ZenWorks. Created and deployed workstation images using both ZenWorks and Symantec Ghost. Set up network user accounts and group configurations. Planned and implemented server-based applications. Performed ancillary network administration functions. Troubleshot LAN/WAN problems. Monitored network operation. Trained end users and junior technicians. Installed, designed, tested, documented, and supported Ethernet (CAT5) and CATV (Cable TV) networks. Mangaf Complex, Flat 2, Area 7, Mangaf, Kuwait. Trained Kuwaiti, US, and Pakistani personnel in the intermediate level repair of the A-4(ku) Skyhawk Weapons Delivery and Navigation Systems. Supported the Kuwait Air Force reconstruction effort by supplying information, experience, and technical skills. Refurbished both automatic and semi-automatic test equipment that was recovered from Iraq after the war. Provided intermediate level support of Weapons Delivery and Navigation Systems.

. Assigned to the Support Test Equipment fabrication shop, developing, prototyping, and fabricating a broad range of computerized and manual test equipment in support of the B-2 Bomber. Supported design engineers by troubleshooting and proposing modifications. Wrote and edited: software, calibration, verification, and test procedures. Safety Advisor. AQMD coordinator.

Lead Technician in an avionics repair facility run by the U.S. Navy, specializing in the maintenance and use of Computerized Automatic Test Equipment (CAT, ATE) for the troubleshooting/repair of electronic circuit boards and "black boxes." The scope of repair capabilities includes module, component, and PCB replacement to the following systems: radar, computer, weapons delivery, FLIR, and inertial navigation. Bench support consisted of maintaining several variants of the HP 1000 series mini computer, hard drives, tape drives, software, printers, five bays of electronic test equipment, and other peripheral equipment that interfaced with the HP 1000. Received commendations for my performance and safety record while performing as a team leader, testing aircraft weapons delivery systems and loading weapons for annual Nuclear Technical Proficiency certifications. Assisted in organizing the Navy-wide Electro Static Discharge (ESD) control program.
