In this role, I worked as an Operations Manager as well as a Lead Field Technician in Structured Cabling for local businesses and government facilities. This consisted of reviewing the construction blue prints/floor plans and engineering the buildout, as well as being the boots on the ground with the implementation/installation of cabling and materials. I was also responsible for keeping track of in-house inventory as well as ordering new materials for each incoming project.

After working as a Quality Assurance Specialist, I was then promoted to Field Service Manager within my home office. A very fulfilling yet challenging role of managing a team of technicians to provide best-in-class services in the homes of customers all over southern Arizona.

After showing a high level of understanding of the technician position within Dish, I received an invitation to join the Quality Assurance Team. This was initially a temporary position to assist with a project buildout for the newer 5g technologies. A few months of being a part of this project landed me a full-time offer to remain on the team, effectively transferring departments within the company. I learned a ton about analyzing data sets and how to implement change in the field with technicians to achieve better results. This role allowed me to become more proficient with computers and programs to filter data and create an action plan to assist my home office in achieving better performance in the field.

With this entry-level technician position, I would install and service satellite TV and Internet systems all over southern Arizona. This role also required being an in-home sales consultant by proving top tier tech solutions to improve customer experience. Within the first 2 years of my employment with Dish, I managed to reach Dish Tech Level 4, which is the highest tech position. I also had certifications based off of Dish's partnerships with various companies such as Amazon, Sears, HughesNet and ViaSat. No one installation was the same, and that kept me on my toes to plan my attack for the installation based off of the customer's needs.
