Research was focused on the annealing and recrystallzation behavior of high strength low alloy (HSLA) steels. Vanadium, Titanium, and Niobium bearing grades were studied. Areas of focus were centered around pinning/retarding effects due to precipitation and coincident site lattice (CSL) effects. Techniques included a combination of optical microscopy (OM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and electron back-scatter diffraction (EBSD).
