Working with one of the company’s technicians, my daily tasks included assisting in the fitting of new bathrooms and radiators in clients’ houses. Measuring and calculating areas & sizes was also very important & my knowledge of mathematics helped especially. My design and technology skills were also of use when dealing with the physical element of the job.

I worked within a team of operatives and was regularly promoted to supervise the line for the shift on which I was working. I enjoyed my time with Robertson's but unfortunately at the beginning of May 2008 the company closed and transferred their production and processing operations to Cambridge.
