I have 20 years experience in the water industry. I have spent the last year taking a more active role in the field planning and carrying out step tests, DMA validation, Flow/flush testing, ZPTs and leakage detection work. Prior to this I spent 8 years spent in a Network Control/Incident Management Environment. I have extensive experience in the following areas. 1. Risk Assessment. • Valving assesment. • Valve operation authorisation. • Planning, Assesment and authorisation of leakage management plans, including adhoc and planned step tests. • Leakage monitoring and location. • Hydrolic Modelling. 2. Incident Management • Incident resource deployment and management. • Supply restoration including rezone assesment and tanker operation planning and deployment. • Valve operation and authorisation. • Mains flushing planing. 3. Mentoring and Training. • Provision of adhoc and planned training. • Assistance with and authorisation of risk assesment plans produced by colleuges. 4. Leakage detection training. STW in house training courses given to field workers attended by myself on 3 occasions. • Proficient in planning and carrying out step tests and valve operation. • Use of and interpretation of logging data including flow and pressure loggers acoustic loggers and mains correlation. • Use and deployment of flow and pressure loggers. • Use of listening sticks.
