The Development Services Departments are responsible for the development and implementation of a variety of activities including managing processes for strategic planning and community involvement in the development of short- and long-term goals; coordinating and creating development processes and long-range plans and programs for the City's infrastructure, oversight of inspection and enforcement of City codes and ordinances and directs and coordinates infrastructure capital improvement construction by developing infrastructure plans and programs; and coordinating support to the Public Works, Administrative Services, and Public Safety Departments.

Preparing documents of release of Contractors from maintenance obligations and for acceptance of completed projects and recommending approval of same. •Preparing for publication uniform technical methods and standards for construction.• Preparing for publication, the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction. Standard Specification books are available to the public for a fee. •Cooperating with the Districts, other Divisions, F.H.W.A. and other governmental agencies in advancing the work.
