Successfully built a lawn and garden maintenance business from the ground up. I acquired a large group of regular clientele through rigorous marketing efforts including Facebook advertising and door-to-door sales. I utilised customer service techniques in order to attract and retain clients. Discussions with clients took place through Facebook messenger or face-to-face. I also managed the finances of the business and made key financing decisions, such as when to reinvest profits for new equipment. This business was a perfect opportunity to undertake some casual work during my studies at University. It gave me the flexibility that a traditional work place couldn’t provide whilst also teaching me some valuable skills.

I had the opportunity to work on year end audits for two large companies. I was able to learn about various aspects of the audititing process – these included risk assessments, inventory, revenue, and journal entry testing. I worked in two different teams, this allowed me to understand how different people in the organisation conducted themselves during an audit. It also allowed me to strengthen my ability to work in a team and complete tasks to a specific deadline.

Launched a new Xbox product in the Penrith telstra store. I organised and led team meetings in order to educate telstra staff members on the new product. I also met with the store manager on a regular basis in order to discuss how the promotion of the product could be improved.

Utuilised Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint in order to display business information and statistics to clients. Used Xero to manage accounts for clients.
