It's been enormously satisfying to help train a new projects team and take on some interesting engineering challenges for existing projects.However I've taken especially great pride in managing my own project; a printing press and flat bed die cutter delivered to drupa, the world's largest print exhibition in Düsseldorf Germany.This machine was delivered early and placed in a high profile location on the Canon stand showcasing some of the print solutions Edale have to offer. After nearly a decade working for Edale and becoming familiar with our customers and products from a technical perspective it's been fantastic to transition to the creative side and show off what we do. I made sure all stakeholders were informed of the project status including keeping customers updated with delivery schedules and the management team of any delays or issues.The projects needed to be within scope and free of any snags or technical issues when the machines left the factory to site so I would run meetings at the initial outset, sometimes during a project life and… Show more As project manager, I took ownership of each machine from point of sale to installation on site. I made sure all stakeholders were informed of the project status including keeping customers updated with delivery schedules and the management team of any delays or issues.The projects needed to be within scope and free of any snags or technical issues when the machines left the factory to site so I would run meetings at the initial outset, sometimes during a project life and before the dispatch.Communicating with the customers directly I made sure they were prepared with any space and services required such as power, water and air so to ensure a smooth and efficient installation. This sometimes involved creating documentation such as guides and CAD drawings of the customer site.I also made sure our machines were designed, built and delivered to the latest standards including the CE/CSA standards and any local legislation and had to keep up to date with with any changes to those standards. Working alongside the design department and with other departments from sales, production and customer service I assisted with the successful delivery of projects ensuring they were built and delivered to scope and with appropriate documentation such as user manuals.Each machine needed me to create an installation drawing that would help prepare and install the press on site.

Monitoring the design team to ensure project deadlines are met.Liaising with other departments such as estimating, sales and purchasing to ensure the latest design details are circulated.Administering a technical literature database including building regulations and design standardsFinding root causes and preventative actions for non conformance reports, site/factory issues and requests.

Creating support drawings for high voltage cable systems.

Creating steel fabrication and assembly drawings. Material procurement.

Creating and updating bills of materials for prefabricated building modules. Creating technical drawings for building modules and site plans.
