I'm a Biological Engineering graduate with a strong foundation in tissue engineering, biochemistry, and bioprocess optimization, supplemented with relevant coursework. My dedication to these fields is exemplified in my years of academic growth, project execution, and determination to strive for continued excellence in and out of the workplace.At the University of Georgia I participated in a variety of long term projects, most significant being the Senior Capstone Design Project. My team and I developed an ambulatory blood pressure monitor for cats and dogs to fill a request for a health monitoring device from the UGA Vet School. Utilizing PPG and EKG sensors, we were able to create a proof-of-concept device that the engineering program used as the launch point for the subsequent year’s participants in the Capstone Design program.My experience outside of academia, with my current position at a community blood banking laboratory and my internship working with the supply chain department at Power Partners have pushed me to develop into a more well-rounded individual that can fit into a variety of workplace positions. Communication skills, being adaptable and able to learn quickly, as well as an appreciation for the precarious balance of persistence and patience are values I have developed throughout these roles. My proficiency in several technical tools - MatLab, RStudio, SQL, AutoCad, Blender, Adobe suite - allows me to be a flexible worker that can plug into operations efficiently. I am excited to jump into a diverse work environment to learn from a wide array of professionals and continuously shift and improve how I work.Aside from my professional pursuits, I enjoy staying active with daily runs, basketball and tennis, and have begun pursuing more hobbies like fishing, learning guitar and animation.I am excited to put my knowledge, experiences, and skillsets to use at an organization that will leverage these aspects towards creating unique solutions in the bioengineering world. I am open to remote and on-site roles and am always eager to connect with fellow professionals.
