Projects cover the design, installation, and system integration of instrumentation in varied and diverse military test environments. Required to have or obtain an expert level of knowledge concerning the design and installation of instrumentation and sensors (e.g., accelerometers, strain gauges, thermocouples, rate gyros, and pressure transducers); the use and implementation of pulse code modulated (PCM) data acquisition systems and data reduction hardware (e.g., bit syncs and decoms). o Lead engineer for IDAP UK Icing Team. Integrated novel pilot display arrangement. The arrangement consisted of the software used to support ground telemetry and offered the capability to derive data locally, combine several subsets of data from multiple data acquisition systems, and positively improved human factor performance with touchscreen controls for experimental test pilots. This test also demonstrated an improved transmitter/antenna design resulting in over a fifty percent increase in power output at the antenna from prior fielded designs, and featured an in house designed; automated; camera anti-ice system. Lead engineer for IDAP X-Sight Helmet Mounted Display Demonstration Team. Responsible for the first time Integration of Elbit Systems novel helmet mounted display into an AH-64E. Managed cross functional team responsible for custom electrical and mechanical integration, and managed required coordination of a multi-organization team consisting of on-site representatives from PM Apache, PM FARA, SRD, Elbit, and Lockheed Martin while actively integrating and troubleshooting the system.
