• Manage product development in thin film coating for display panel purposes towards augmented reality type application for both automotive and near-eye display• Develop novel methods very similar to lithography• Optimize coating methods, which enable successful, low-cost thin film application• Conduct a series of different DOEs to optimize phase separation within Bragg gratings to increase diffraction efficiency, lower haze, and increase overall contrast on a 1-5 m film thickness• Scale R&D methods to mass production, specifically for display panel purposes• Conduct contact copy methods with various tooling including: ThorLabs, Newport, Coherent class IV lasers, and spectrometers• Successfully transferred knowledge for HUD manufacturing to a prestigious military contracted company which was approved by the Federal Aviation Administration to be implemented into commercial airlines• Work closely in an optical engineering environment with optical grade material and proficient in inferometers, lasers, and varying optical equipment• Work in a class 100 clean room• Collaborate with the chemistry department for material testing purposes• Create SOPs for new materials designed to test their compatibility as well as overall performance• Develop PowerPoint presentations for weekly staff meetings, providing project updates, explaining DOE methodologies, and presenting results• Extract data from the Advanced Droplet Analysis (ADA) system to conglomerate a series of data to form SPC charts to determine failure points• Test and characterize latency of new material to determine overall jetting performance and established an SOP for this methodology• Designed and standardized a method for evaluating evaporation characteristics of material after deposition onto a substrate
