Chris Stackpoole is a Barrister at Level 27 Chambers developing a broad commercial practice, with a focus on contract law, equity and trusts, restitution, tort and class actions, conflict of laws, and insolvency.He graduated as Vinerian Scholar in 2018 from the Bachelor of Civil Law at the University of Oxford, and has taught law at both Oxford and Cambridge.He was awarded the Master of Philosophy in Law with Distinction by the University of Oxford for his thesis 'Adequacy of Damages', written under the supervision of Professor Robert Stevens, examined by Professors Edwin Peel and Hon Robert Sharpe, and funded by the Clarendon Scholarship.Chris was a Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution & Litigation Practice of King & Wood Mallesons in between 2018-19. He has experience in multilateral negotiations and policy, having been a Foreign Policy Officer at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (2016-17). He was Associate to the Chief Justice of Queensland (2015-16).Chris is finalising is Doctor of Philosophy in Law at the University of Cambridge, supported by the Harding Distinguished Postgraduate Scholarship. He has published widely in scholarly and trade journals, and is the editor for Chapters 10 'Interim Remedies' and 25 'Finality of Litigation' in Adrian Zuckerman (gen ed), Zuckerman on Civil Procedure: Principles and Practice (4th edn, Sweet & Maxwell 2021).
